Sky Live is an exceptional app for planning star observations and capturing stunning photos of the night sky. It has gained popularity among astronomers and night sky photographers around the world for its assistance in planning stargazing outings.

With Sky Live, you have immediate access to all the necessary information. You can easily determine which planets, bright stars, and constellations will be visible above the horizon at night. The app also provides weather updates, visibility scores, and much more. Once you set your location, you can check the stargazing index for the entire week ahead to find the optimal time for your night out.

The unique stargazing index is calculated hourly and updates each time you launch the app. This index takes into account several factors:

 <li>Moonlight levels</li>

Sky Live works seamlessly with Star Walk 2, allowing you to view and gather additional information about your chosen celestial object's path through the night sky. Additionally, the app offers an Apple Watch extension that notifies you of upcoming astronomical events and provides real-time information about the sky above your location, such as an ISS flyby or a bright Iridium flare.

Featuring breathtaking space photos along with comprehensive stargazing condition details for your current location, Sky Live ignites curiosity - whether you're a seasoned stargazer or a novice.

The app provides the most accurate hourly stargazing conditions based on seven criteria, all consolidated in the Stargazing Index. This concise summary equips you with all the information necessary to plan your stargazing activities. The formula for the index was developed by a mathematician on the Star Walk team and takes the following factors into account:

 <li>Presence of noteworthy phenomena in the sky</li>
 <li>Visibility of Saturn</li>
 <li>Cloud cover</li>
 <li>Chance of rain</li>
 <li>Level of light pollution</li>
 <li>Moon brightness and its impact on stargazing</li>
</ul>

Additionally, you'll receive detailed reports on the position and trajectory of astronomical bodies such as the International Space Station, the Sun, the Moon, Jupiter, and other planets. The forecast extends up to seven days in advance.
